The Living Lesson
The
Living Lesson is a self developed method of teaching that revolves mostly
around the students' interests and learning abilities. Every lesson that I teach constantly
changes to suit the needs and learning curve of each individual student. The
lessons are alive in the way that they respond and adapt. I believe that each
person is a unique character who requires individual attention and direction.
The objectives of The Living Lesson are:
- To create an environment where the natural abilities and learning interests
of each student can grow and thrive.
- To provide a music lesson to those who are seeking an alternative to the
traditional Royal Conservatory training and/or other methods of teaching
which have firmly set curriculums.
- To provide a Studio Session as an alternative to a music recital.

Living Lesson Music Sampler (4.6

I believe that children need to be taught
music in a way that is going to stimulate their interest. The teaching method
which I have created works well because my students are not pressured into
reaching a certain level of proficiency within a specific time frame. They
reach new levels of both technical and creative proficiency in their own time.
This empowers the children to explore the art of music in their own unique
way.
